Why Donate?

Did you drop off a printer at Triangle Ecycling to keep it out of the landfill? It takes time, effort and the space to handle it and remove, and separately recycle, the toner or ink.

Did you drop off a broken monitor or TV? There are toxins in those screens and you did a great thing by recycling and keeping it out of the landfill.

Did you drop off an old stereo, appliance, keyboard or other “low grade ewaste?” While it is very important to our community and planet to recycle low grade ewaste, there is no value in the commodities it produces - dirty plastic and metal - and there is a cost to process it.

Do you just feel it is important to have a friendly, convenient, ethical and trustworthy electronics recycling option in our community?

And, in addition to supporting free ecycling, donations will go toward computers and funding for other Durham nonprofits that do good for our environment. See Our Green Partners.

Donation options:

You can make a one-time donation of any amount. We are working on the payment technology required to become an environmental sustainer with a monthly donation, and hope to add that option soon. Meanwhile you can return monthly. We don’t recommend amounts, whatever makes you feel good is fine.
